Due to the increase in population and urban development, pest population, including rats, mice, and roaches, has also also increased. The Unites States government has looked into experimental DNA splicing to help combat the infestation. Combining the DNA of moles, various bird species (including turkeys, herons, and cassowary's), venomous snakes, and cephalopods, scientists have created a creature well adapted to hunting rodents in dark, damp, and putrid sewers.
Quick synopsis:
Mole DNA: Adaptation to darkness, extraordinary sense of smell, blindness, high metabolism, ravage appetite.
Bird DNA: Body structure, including shape, size, and weight.
Cephalopod DNA: Unique appendage which is seen on squids and cuttle fish; acts like a frog's or chameleon's tongue.
Snake DNA: Paralyzing venom that ejects from the spine of the tentacle; also has heat pits to sense warm blooded animals.
