Charmander

My Charmander sketch fully rendered and now with a little background story.

Curios as to why in Pokemon games Charmanders are extremely rare. In game there's only a few points where you can actually own one. So why? There has to be a better reason than game play concerns. Well I was thinking, what if the first-hatched Charmander would cannibalize its unhatched siblings to destroy the competition similar to shark pups in their mother's womb? Thus my light-heated Charmander sketch consuming an ornament has become much more sinister.

Also note, technically that is a Togepi egg that Charmander is consuming; he is a destroyer of Pokemon.

Anyways, admittedly this has to be my favorite Pokemon painting that I have done. A little imagination and a lot of preparation helped pushed that along.
