This is for the Anatomicae #25 - Birds of a Feather challenge over at CG Hub that I participated in. This is the actual rendering of the bird I choose, the Bald Eagle.

Tedious, yet extremely fun to do and I learned a whole lot from it. That, to me, is the best part about it.

Here are my collection of references which I am showing for whatever reasons.

Also the process can be seen at: [link]

Anyways, thanks for looking and enjoy!

Gorgeous painting!
huh, I actually did something similar just yesterday, with the bones+muscles+actual drawing, except for a hippogriff and not an eagle. It IS fun and very educational. What was the book you referenced the muscles from?

Thank you very much. As for your question, I honestly don't remember. :C

I remember checking it out at my college's library and taking several pictures of it before turned it back in. I know it has to be one of popular animal anatomy books for artists because I have seen it recommended numerous times. Sorry for the lack of clarity and help. :C
